Condolences and Corrections

Hey Folks,
We arrived at some friends' house yesterday afternoon here in New Mexico to the awful news that Robin Williams, the actor, had committed suicide. It's extremely sad. The two of us deeply feel the loss of this brilliant and accomplished comedian and actor and join millions of others in sending our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

He burst on the scene a little after the two of us started playing together and, over the years, due to having the same name, we've had several things happen that provide good stories, mainly involving hotels having complimentary fruit baskets or such delivered to our room. The best one however was the hotel in Washington, DC that upgraded us to an executive suite and sent us a Champaign bucket with a note that said: "Welcome back, Mr. Williams." We'd never been there before.

So, the name confusion has never been a negative thing for us. But we just heard that our web mistress has had to remove some RIP notes on our web site and Facebook page. The purpose of this email is to let you know, in Mark Twain's words, "The news of my demise has been greatly exaggerated." There were a couple of mistakes on our previous email involving dates and times. First, we listed both the Asheville, NC and Charlotte NC gigs as being on September 12. The correct information is:

September 11, 2014 Asheville, NC Isis Restaurant and Music Hall,  743 Haywood Road 8:30 p.m. - 828.575.2737 -

September 12, 2014 Charlotte, NC Aunt Stella Center, 926 Elizabeth Avenue 7:30 p.m. 704.563.7080 www.folksociety.org.

Secondly, the time for our Harrisonburg, VA date is incorrect. Here's the right information:

December 11, 2014 Harrisonburg, VA The Forbes Center, James Madison University, 147 Warsaw Center 8:00 p.m. 540.568.7000 - www.jmu.edu/forbescenter/

All the best,
Robin and Linda
