Robin and Linda Williams: Memorial Musings 2019

Dear Friends,
We're hoping your Memorial Day weekend will be a good one. For those of you doing some traveling, be safe out there on the highways. We're always extra vigilant on holiday weekends as the roads are generally clogged with folks who are a little rusty at driving long distances, not having been behind the wheel for over thirty miles at a time since the last holiday.

And, yes, we'll be seeing some interstate time on Saturday as we're heading down to the Harvester Performance Center in Rocky Mount, VA. We are chomping at our bits to get back to playing in front of people and glad to be going to the Harvester. Linda will be walking slowly as she just had a cast removed from her ankle last week. But she IS walking and you can't know what a joy it is for her to be off a knee scooter. Next in line for "the big goodbye" is the walking boot.Ê A friend of ours once burned her walking boot on a stake when she was through with it. LInda's boot will probably just go in the trash.

What is going to make the Harvester even more special is having Scott Miller (www.thescottmiller.com) on the show as well. Scott's our neighbor and songwriting buddy and a killer performer. Any night we share a stage with him is - well, if you're within driving distance, why don't you come to the Harvester and see for yourselves.

With all this in mind, we got a call from Dave Woodson who has a music blog and he wrote this piece about us. If you have time, you can check out the article here:

Other fun things coming up soon include the "Bacon N The Boro" Festival on the banks of the South River here in Virginia and the Kerrville Folk Festival in the Texas hill country. It's been many years since we played Kerrville and we'll be there on a Saturday night with Rodney Crowell, Shawn Camp and Verlon Thompson. That'll be a good time.

Bumper Sticker Of The Month: Velcro - what a ripoff!

We just read an article in Variety Magazine that said attending live concerts results in twice the "feeling of well-being" as doing Yoga and can potentially add several years to your life. So, get off your mats and go see some live music. Plus, as we may have said before, music makes you smarter.

We look forward to seeing you at one of the stops along the way.

Your pals,
Robin and Linda
