Robin and Linda Williams: Summer's End

Dear Friends,
Happy Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer. We're just back from a nice weekend of gigs in upstate New York where we saw our breath, where the leaves were starting to change, and the reality of summer's end made itself known. And neither one of us thought to bring a jacket.

We're home now, just long enough for the cats to be okay with us being back in their house, and to wash some clothes, change some strings, clean out the car, and to figure out what to do with the garden produce that's naturally coming in right now. We'll take off this weekend for a couple of shows in North Carolina. When we return, we'll start thinking about our trip to Montana, our first flying tour in quite a while.

It feels good to, once again, be gigging as we took a big part of the summer off for Linda to recuperate from surgery on her right shoulder.Ê She's back now, pain free and playing great and she even took the wheel a couple of times this weekend on our short visit to the Empire State. It didnÕt take much for us to knock off the rust and get comfortable in front of folks. It helps when you have the best audiences in the history of show business.

Bumper Sticker of the Month: Writing with a broken pencil is pointless.

If you're in North Carolina this weekend, anywhere close to Charlotte or Cary, we hope we'll see you. We haven't checked the weather and can't imagine that we'll see our breath, but we'll take our jackets, nonetheless. Remember, live music makes you smarter.

Your pals,
Robin and Linda
